20 November 2021Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto – Spain

We just ended the 2021 Championship and after one week we are about to get back on track on the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto for the first test of the 2022.

This will be the first time that our two new pilots will get on track with their Husqvarna FR 250 GP. Ayumu comes from two years riding a KTM, whereas John in the previous three seasons drove a Honda. The test will be held in two days and our two pilots will have the chance to get acquainted both with their bike and with their team. Ayumu inherits the team of Romano, led by Emanuele Martinelli, whereas John will be directed by Maurizio Cambarau. For this test they will use the FR 250 GP of the 2021, but they will try also new components, in view of the next Moto3 World Championship.

To follow the comments of Ayumu, John and Max Biaggi our Team Owner, who present this first test of the 2022.

Ayumu Sasaki: “First of all I would like to thank the Sterilgarda Max Racing Team for the trust placed on me. In my opinion it is the best team, to reach the goals that I set for 2022. With the experience that this team has I have the chance to keep improving, making the last steps to fight constantly for the podium. I am happy about this test in November, because I have the possibility to know the bike and my new team and this is really important for me.”

John McPhee: “I’m really excited to start working with everyone in the Max racing team and to try my new Husqvarna for the first time. We’ll be on track this Sunday in Jerez for our first shakedown test which will be a great way to finish the season and gives me a feel of what to look forward to in 2022.”

Max BiaggiTeam Owner: “We are back on track for these two days of tests on the circuit of Jerez. I would like to take a moment to warmly welcome Ayumu and John and I am happy that after only one week from the end of the world championship they have the chance to be back on track with their new bikes. This test is important also because for both of them will be necessary to familiarize with their new teams. It is a new start and it is always exciting.”
