08 October 2020 – Le Mans – France
After a week off the Moto GP is back to race on the legendary circuit of Le Mans which since almost one hundred years hosts the well-known and homonym endurance race. This Grand Prix is usually scheduled during the spring period thus the reference temperatures and weather conditions are rather different from the ones that we will probably register throughout this weekend.
The trend of results that the Sterilgarda Max Racing Team has obtained in these last Grand Prixes is decisively increasing since in the penultimate race Romano won bringing for the first time a win in an on track race to the Husqvarna Motorcycles; while in the last race ridden on the track of Barcelona Alonso reached the fifth position and Romano the sixth one. The difficulties of adaptation to the new bikes that our two pilots have encountered have been rather important and now finally after a lot of work done the expected results have been collected.
As a matter of fact, Alonso in the Grand Prix of Catalonia started off from the sixteenth position and after an unfortunate take-off he did an amazing come-back that from the twenty-third position registered at the end of the first lap has brought him close to the podium with a gap from the winner of only 0.386 s. For what concerns Romano throughout the race he sealed the new record of the track of Barcelona and he reached the sixth position after a rather engaging race.
The last matter that needs to be debated is about the circuit of Le Mans which is 4185 km long and has 5 left corners and 9 right corners with a main straight line of 674 m.
We leave the floor to Romano, Alonso and to Max Biaggi, our Team Owner.
Romano Fenati: “I hope to do a good race in Le Mans, we are able to do it and we have to do it. The track in which we will compete, because of the its history, is a special one and I really like it! In grand prix of the FranceWe have to confirm the good results achieved in Misano and in Barcelona.”
Alonso Lopez: “I am looking forward to competing in Le Mans because I made a very good race in Montmelò. It will be for sure an interesting weekend, because in the following days it could rain and this it would make the race even more interesting. I hope to be at a good level of course. I will try to do my best.”
Max Biaggi – Team Owner: “We arrive in Le Mans with good chances, because of the results reached in the last two races. Weather permitting, we could have an additional confirmation of the steps forward obtained by our two pilots. The French track fits good our bike and especially Romano reached important results on this track.”
