10 October 2020 – Le Mans – France
A wonderful sun has welcomed the Moto3 this morning in Le Mans. The temperatures unfortunately have been rather low, since in the air and on the ground have been reached barely 9°C. Anyway thanks to the completely dry track all the pilots improved their times.
Romano continues to show off an excellent feeling with the track and with his FR 250GP; indeed he in the free practice 3 demonstrated a very fast pace and sealed a constant pace, at around 1’45 and a half. He sealed the third time of the day, which represents also his best lap in the combined ranking of the three session of free practice. 15 are the laps done in 2 runs, with his best time obtained at the penultimate lap equal to 1’42.431 and a gap from the leader of the ranking R. Fernandez of 0.278 s. Thanks to this performance Romano accessed directly to the qualifying 2.
AUnfortunately Alonso, after the yesterday’s fall, accused some little problem to his shoulder and this has not allowed him to do his best. Our pilot did 17 laps in 3 runs, obtaining at his last lap the time of 1’43.221. With this performance Alonso, in the combined ranking of the three session of free practice, results to be in twenty-second position, with a gap of 1.068 s. He will have to do the Q1, that will take place at 12.35 pm (GMT +2).
