A strong wind welcomed the Moto3 drivers on the track this morning. The gusts of wind reached 40 km/h, limiting the performance of Moto3 and putting drivers in great difficulty. But the wind kept the clouds away from the COTA, as for the first time this morning the sky is very cloudy.
David completed his approach to the race without making any mistakes and in the warmup he managed to get the fifteenth time. In this session his smallest gap from the top of this weekend was detected, proving his steady improvement. 2’18.450 is his best lap and 1.176 s is the minor delay from the warm up leader I. Guevara.
On the other side of the pits Ayumu tried new solutions in view of the race. with the aim of solving some small difficulties of adaptation to the track. He finished 18th, with a time of 2’18.508 and a gap of 1.234 seconds.
At 2.30 p.m. (local time GMT -5) the race of Moto3 of the Grand Prix of the Americas will start.
