The Sterilgarda Max Racing is back in Texas

Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas 2021 – Preview

30 September 2021Circuit Of The Americas – United States

After the two opening races held on the circuit of Losail, the MotoGP makes a stop out of Europe; therefore next weekend we will be in United States, on the track on the outskirts of Austin in Texas. It is an appreciated come back, since last year we did not compete on this track.
The pilots will have to face the time difference and the difficulties of a very particular track, that presents a relevant different elevation on the starting straight line.

Romano has already competed on this track, achieving two victories and a second place, whereas Adriàn will debut on this circuit.

In the last race held on the Misano World Circuit, Romano started from the pole, but he run into a fall half way through the race. Until that moment our team leader dominated the race, collecting a gap from the chasers of almost 3 seconds! For what concerns Adriàn, the fall in which he run into in the free practice on the Santamonica, caused him an important sprain to his ankle, that strongly limited him throughout the race.

To follow the statements of the protagonists of this weekend.

Romano Fenati: “After the race in Misano we have to focus on the Americas GP. The track I really like, since it is very technical and at the same time is beautiful. I am happy to back in the US.”

Adriàn Fernàndez: “I am very happy to be in the United Sates and to compete on the circuit of Austin. I believe that we could an excellent work this weekend.”

Max BiaggiTeam Owner: “We are back in the United States after a year of stop. This is a very technical circuit and I am sure that Romano can do well. At the moment he is excellent shape, therefore I believe that can achieve a good result, needed for the World Championship ranking. I hope that Adriàn is doing better, so that he can fight for the points.”

The last time that we competed on the track on the outskirts of Austin was 2019. In that occasion the race was held in a different period of the year, with much lower temperatures. In the Moto3 our bearer of 2019 A. Canet won, preceding J. Masia and A. Migno. In that occasion the qualifying took place on a wet track and N. Antonelli obtained the pole, with the time of 2’31.346 and the average speed of 131.1 Km/h.

Romano on this track obtained very relevant results, since he reached two victories in 2016 and 2017 and a second place in 2014.

Our ex bearer A. Canet obtained 3 of the records of the track! Indeed in 2017, with the time of 2’14.644 and the average speed of 147.4 km/h, he sealed the All Time Lap Record. This time obtained in the qualifying represents also the Best Pole. In the same year he obtained the Best Race Lap, with the time of 2’15.538 and at the average speed of 146.3 Km/h. 240.1 Km/h is the Top Speed reached by D. Foggia in 2019.
