Romano is seventh on the COTA

Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas 2021 – FP2

01 October 2021Circuit Of The Americas – United States

The free practice 2 on the Circuit of the Americas luckily took place with a shiny sun and with excellent temperatures, since on the ground the temperature reached 39°C. The day did not start in the best way, since the morning session took place on a wet track, after the abundant rain fell in the morning.

Romano confirms also on the COTA his excellent shape and yet from the morning session is in the top ten. Throughout the free practice 2 he managed to obtain an excellent 2’18.133, thanks to which he results to be in seventh position, with a gap from the leader of the combined ranking F. Salac of 0.853 s. In the last time attack he would have surely improved his time, if he was not disturbed by another pilot.

Adriàn had some difficulties to understand the new track, but the time was well spent, without run into any mistake. At the end of the session he results to be in twenty-fourth position, with the time of 2’20.269 and a gap of 2.989 s. We need to highlight that to a lot of pilots, among them we find Adriàn, have seen their laps to be cancelled, due to the yellow flag.

Here the statements of our pilots and our Team Owner Max Biaggi.

Romano Fenati: “I am rather satisfied with the result accomplished in this first day of free practice. We have to work a little bit more, to adjust the setting for the qualifying. I believe that we can do well.”

Adriàn Fernàndez: “Today was a very satisfied day, even if I incurred in some difficulties, since in the FP1 the track was wet. In the free practices 2 I managed to have a good feeling. I worked well with my team and I believe that I will improve as I do more laps.”

Max BiaggiTeam Owner: “Romano confirmed yet from the beginning among the faster and this is a good thing for the qualifying. Tomorrow it will be necessary to be ready, since the weather conditions could turn the tables. Adriàn had some difficulties on a circuit on which he is competing for the first time and is not easy at all.”
