05 March 2020 – Losail International Circuit – Qatar.
The beginning of the 2020 season of the MotoGP has been upset by the emergency created by the Coronavirus, which is terrorizing the whole world! For this reason the Grand Prix which will take place in Qatar will be lacking of the class of the MotoGP. Instead the next Grand Prix which will be hosted by Thailand will take place later in the season.
The government of Qatar has imposed to all the workers in this field, that come from the most intense epidemic sites, a period of quarantine of 14 days! This is obviously impossible. Therefore there was not any chance other than the one that does not allow the MotoGP to race.
As a matter of fact the Moto2 and the Moto3 have undergone the tests the last weekend. Thus, most of the members of the staff are already in Qatar and this will guarantee the regular proceeding of the two races. Unfortunately this situation is continuously changing and it is following the development of the contamination worldwide.
For the sake of all of us we need to comply with the instructions and hope that everything will be subsided as soon as possible.

The following are the words of the protagonists:
Romano Fenati: “I am very happy to start the 2020 season. I feel ready to race in the first competition of this season. The bike is performing really well. We will try to do our best in the upcoming season.”.
Max Biaggi – Team Owner: “After a very good debut in the World Championship with a second place last year with Aron Canet. This year I am very excited to start the new collaboration with Husqvarna and with our main sponsor. We have two talent riders: the first one is Romano Fenati. We expect from him to do a very great job from the beginning of the season because he has a lot of experience. The second one is Alonso Lopez. He is a young rider and he has a very good potential. We are waiting for our first race to come. It will be in Qatar. It is a good track and also a track which the riders enjoy. We will see on Sunday the results!”
