Algarve International Circuit – Portugal
The circuit is named after the nearby port city Portimao. It is immersed in the splendid setting of the Portuguese Algarve and was inaugurated in 2008. Various facilities are located around the track, including a hotel, an apartment complex, a technology park, a sports complex, a go-kart track and a off-road track.
The track has 15 curves, nine of which on the right and six on the left, with one of the longest straights in the championship, amounting to 969m. The circuit is spectacular for both the drivers and the spectators, as it is made up of rather important altimetric variations, like a real high-speed roller coaster, and features all kinds of curves. At the beginning of 2020 it was paved again.
