22 October 2022 – Sepang International Circuit – Malaysia
This morning the Moto3 was greeted by a rather wet track, and a degree of humidity at 100%. In fact, most of the free practice 3 went to waste, as the drivers only mounted slicks in the last minutes of the session.
Ayumu stayed half a second behind his best lap, getting the time of 2’12.732, with which he was fourth in the session. In the combined Ayumu is second.
The track conditions did not help John, since after the problems he had yesterday with the brakes, he absolutely needed to complete the greatest number of laps, to try to lower his time and get into Q2. John also didn’t improve his best lap, getting the time of 2’14.058. It is 21st in both the FP3 and the combined classification.
John will take part in Q1, which will start at 12:35 (GMT +8).
