PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia 2022 – FP1

21 October 2022 Sepang International Circuit – Malaysia

A high degree of humidity and a temperature of 32 ºC on the ground characterized the first 40 minutes of practice of the Malaysian Grand Prix.

In the last minutes of free practice all drivers tried to complete at least one time attack, in anticipation of a rather uncertain weather. Ayumu also here on the SIC started on the right foot, managing to be very fast. 2’12.296 is his best lap, with which Ayumu is second, 0.070 s from the leader D. Foggia. Some difficulties for John, who after completing 12 laps, gets the time of 2’15.139. Our British driver is 25th in the standings, with a gap of 2.913 s.

The next session will begin at 13:15 (Local Time GMT +8), when in Italy will be 7:15 (GMT +2).
