15 August 2021 – Red Bull Ring – Spielberg – Austria
The second weekend on the Red Bull Ring ends with a fifth place of Romano and a withdrawal due to technical issues for Adriàn. Differently from the previous round, the stability of the weather did not generate any problem about the choice of the tires. The race started with a cloudy sky and a temperature on the ground that reached 34°C.
Romano, started from the pole, also in this race obtained a holeshot. For our team leader it was a race as an absolute protagonist, in which there have been a lot of overtakes. Among the most beautiful ones there is the one done by Romano at the outside at the tenth lap at the penultimate corner, with which he overtook two pilots. the rhythm of the race is been quite fast yet from the beginning and between the leading group, formed by Romano and other five pilots, and the rest of the pilots on the group there has been from the beginning a gap there has been from the beginning a gap. In the last laps, when the tires worn out, Romano accused a worst feeling in the braking phase and this did not allow him to fight for the podium. In the Championship Romano confirms his third position, with 107 points gained.
A little bit of misfortune for our Adriàn, who at the twelfth lap, had to withdrawal due to a technical issue. The technicians of his Team are doing the needed verifications to understand the nature of the issue. A real pity that our rookie did not have the chance to end his comeback, as he did in the last grand prix. 1’37.092 is his best lap, obtained at the fifth lap.

Romano Fenati: “I am not 100% happy! After two races in the last two weekends in the leading group and a podium I cannot be unhappy, but I am not satisfied with today’s race , since we worked hard and we could do better. For the next round we have to improve in order to gain the maximum amount of points possible.”
Adriàn Fernàndez: “This morning in the warm up we did a huge step forward and I felt good with the used tires. It is a pity because right before the start the engine broke and for this reason I lost a lot of velocity on the straight line. Nevertheless the back wheel had some spots of oil, thus I had problem in acceleration. I am very happy with the work done and we will do better next time.”
Max Biaggi – Team Owner: “Solid race for Romano even if he finished fifth, indeed he fought for the podium in the last lap. I am happy with the performance of the qualifying. He was still missing a little bit in the braking phase, but I am satisfied with its performance. We can’t wait to compete compete to a track that is more suitable for its driving style. Adriàn stopped for technical issues. We are checking to understand the reason, but he anyway did some steps forward throughout the weekend.”
