A avaricious weekend of satisfactions for the Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max Racing Team has ended. Romano has finished the race in ninth place, at 1 thousandth of second from Arbolino and the photo-finish has been necessary in order to clarify the exact position! For our Alonso, at the comeback after the malaise experienced during the previous Grand Prix, the race for him has ended with a very violent crash at nine laps from the end.
Here are in details the performances of our two pilots.
Romano has took off from the ninth place and at the end of the first lap he was in eighth place. During the second of eighteen laps, he sealed his best lap with the time of 2’09.170, that represents the eighth fastest lap. Romano for the whole race remained in the leading group, but unfortunately he did not succeed to have the chance to fight for the first positions. Ended the race with 1.648 s time gap from the winner of the race D. Foggia.
Sad ending instead for Alonso, who run into in a fall at the corner 4 rather harsh, during the tenth lap. After he took off in twenty-seventh place, our pilot he gained some positions and at the moment of the fall he was in twenty-first place, with a time gap from the leader of the race of 3.5 s. 2’09.417 represents his best lap, sealed during the fourth race. Due to the fall Alonso has experienced some drawing blanks. Thus after a first medical check in the Mobile Clinic, the doctors preferred to take him to the hospital to do a TAC, for further checks. It was a real shame for our Alonso. We hope that he will feel better soon.

Romano Fenati: “I am happy about the race, but i also know that we still need to improve. We are doing a good job, indeed we have optimized a lot the setting of the bike already in Jerez 2. Here we have done a further step forward. Our work step by step seems to be profitable. For the next race there is the need to improve a little bit more, in particular in the braking and in the acceleration, indeed we have still some difficulties with the bike in following the corner. We need to stay focus in order to do our best.”
Max Biaggi – Team Owner: “Another performance of Romano that has not satisfied me completely, because the expectations were definitely higher. Unfortunately, the main problem remains the difficulty in the overtaking. The next two races in Austria will be a further possibility to try to improve. For what concerns Alonso i am really sad about his fall, that has been really harsh. I hope he would feel better already from the next Grand Prix.”
