07 August 2021 – Red Bull Ring – Spielberg – Austria
In the qualifying of the Grand Prix of Styria Romano confirms his velocity, expressed in all the sessions of free practice, and obtains a very important first row.
We have to say that this Saturday did not start in the best way, since Romano, after the free practice 3, was out of the first 14 positions. In the last session of free practice our team leader improved his best lap, without the aid of any slipstream, obtaining a good 1’36.385 and he resulted to be in sixteenth position. In a track as the Red Bull Ring, with few corners, unfortunately the aid of the slipstream allows to gain precious tenths, but Romano in these days showed off an excellent velocity and he managed anyway to pass the qualifying 1, doing the time attack alone! 1’36.618 is the time obtained in the Q1, with a gap of 0.092 s from the D. Foggia. Also Adriàn took place in the qualifying 1, after he resulted to be in twenty-sixth position in the FP3, with the time of 1’36.946. Our rookie in the Q1 did 5 laps, obtaining as best lap the time of 1’37.538 and a gap of 1.012 s. Tomorrow Adriàn will start from the twenty-seventh position in ninth row.
In the qualifying 2 the temperature reached 27°C in the air and 37°C on the ground and the track resulted to be a little bit slower. Romano did 7 laps, obtaining the time of 1’36.506, thanks to which he will start from the first row in third place.
We leave the floor to Romano, Adriàn and Max Biaggi, our Team Owner.
Romano Fenati: “It is very important to start in front on this circuit, for this reason I am very happy to start from the first row. Tomorrow we can and we have to do a good race, because for us is important to gain points.”
Adriàn Fernàndez: “Today was very difficult, since the result in the qualifying, because the straight line of this track is very long. The time I got is good. I am confident for the race of tomorrow, because I think I have a good rhythm and a good feeling with the bike. I would like to thank my family and my team.”
Max Biaggi – Team Owner: “The first row obtained by Romano gives merit to all the velocity that showed off in all the sessions. Because of the uncertain weather forecasted for tomorrow, it will be important to start in front, to stay in the leading positions. For what concerns Adriàn, I wish that tomorrow he will do a good come back and gain some points useful for the world championship ranking.”
