The free practice 1, that ratified the start of the Grand Prix of Styria, ended with a fifth place of Romano and the thirteenth position of Adriàn.
A bit of clouds covered the sun, that heated up the air up to the temperature of 19° C and the ground up to 20°C.

Throughout the 40 minutes of the session, Romano completed 18 laps, obtaining at the penultimate lap the time of 1’37.298, with a gap from the leader of the FP1 S. Garcia of 0.155 s. For what concerns Adriàn, at the nineteenth of the twenty laps completed he obtained the time of 1’37.787, with a gap of 0.644 s.
