11 September 2021 – MotorLand Aragón – Spain
The qualifying of the Grand Prix of Aragon ended with the seventeenth position of Romano and the twenty-second position of Adriàn.
The premises in these two days of free practice have been rather good, but due to a series of reasons no one of our pilots managed to express himself at the fullest. Throughout this Saturday the weather on the MotorLand has been excellent, since the absence of the wind, and that allowed to reach rather important times. We need to highlight that no one of the pilots got close to the All Time Lap Record. To start from the sixth and the eighth row will be surely complicated, but the long straight line will help the pilots, who are in the back, to come back. Instead the setup of the bike will be crucial, to use wisely the slipstream of the group.
For what concerns the performances of our pilots, the Saturday of the Aragòn Grand Prix for Romano started very well, since he managed to improve his time, gaining the direct access to the Q2. 1’58.569 was his best lap of the free practice. Throughout the qualifying he completed 7 laps, realizing his best time in 1’58.953, with a gap from the poleman D. Binder of 1.229 s. Adriàn in the free practice replicated the time already obtained in the FP2. With 1’59.317 results to be in twenty-second position in the combined ranking, therefore he competed in the Q1. After the six laps completed in the qualifying he obtained the time of 1’59.741.
We leave you to the comments of our riders and our Team Owner Max Biaggi.
Romano Fenati: “Throughout the qualifying I did not manage to do a good time attack and for this reason tomorrow I will start quite behind. I am not happy with the result obtained, but we will try to work on the setup to do a good race tomorrow.”
Adriàn Fernàndez: “The outcome of today does not satisfies me, even though the FP3 was good and I had a good feeling. The problem occurred in the qualifying 1, because I was not able to go faster. Tomorrow will be better.”
Max Biaggi – Team Owner: “The result obtained in the qualifying does not satisfy me. There were all the premises to perform well, but we did not manage to collect a lot. Now we have to work well, so that both our pilots will have the chance to do a good come back, since in Aragon the slipstream is crucial for the Moto3.”
