Romano and Alonso will face Q1

Gran Premio Red Bull de Espana 2020 – FP3

18 July 2020Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto – Spain.

PUnfortunately at the end of the three sessions of free practice our two pilots did not succeeded in qualifying in the first fourteen places, therefore they will have to compete in the qualifying 1.

The temperatures in the morning were certainly lower, so that the track was definitely faster. Alonso sealed the time of 1’46.607, improving his best lap by 0.686 s. Romano, with the time of 1’46.626, confirmed his best time sealed throughout the FP1. 0.889 s and 0.944 are respectively the gaps for Romano and Alonso from the leader of the combined ranking G. Rodrigo.

As usual for the Moto3 the last minutes of the Free Practice 3 are rather disturbed, due to the fact that the pilots scoring themselves in order to prevent to offer the contrail to anyone. Romano did not succeeded in improving, but most likely with another useful lap could have had the chance to erode some tenths. The team needs to work hard to improve the feeling with the bike, in order to aim at the first position in the ranking.

Follow the team at 12.35 pm for the qualifying of the Spanish GP.
