Romano did a very fine race. He did an good come back, that allowed him to finish the race in twelfth place. Our pilot on the finish line of the first lap was in twenty-second place, with a gap from the leader of 3.439 s. At the sixteenth out of twenty-two laps Romano sealed his best lap, with the time of 1’46.452. This time represents the sixth best time of the race. In that moment Romano was the fastest on the track aand stubbornly, fighting in the middle of the group, he succeeded after two laps to gain the ninth position.
Romano was the leader of the second group of pilots, that resulted to have a gap from the leading group of around 1.5 s. Unfortunately the many overtaking prevented to reduce the time gap. Romano sealed the twelfth place at the end, with a gap from the leader of 5.603 s.
Here are the words of the protagonists.
Romano Fenati: “I am not happy with the position that I have reached but i am happy setup of the bike, because we have improved a lot from yesterday. The race is for the Team and even if I did not reached a satisfying position, it is an injection of confidence to work even harder for the next races. It is important the improvement that we got, because now we will face two races where it will be crucial to brake hard and do some good overtaking. In my opinion my Team made an amazing job this weekend. It is not easy to always understand the correct path to take, but i think that at moment we have taken the right path.”
Max Biaggi – Team Owner: “The result at the end of this race is similar to the previous one, but Romano on the starting grid took off very faraway, precisely in twenty-first position. He did a good come back and especially he is using better the bike. Indeed we have confronted with the technicians and it seems that our pilot has taken the right path, in order to understand better how to drive this Husqvarna. Romano only needs to improve the feeling with this bike believing more in himself. It is crucial that he does his best from the first session, so that all the problems would be faced in time. I am still not satisfied, but I start to see some good results from the work done. Brno will be a crucial race, because there we will see if we would have done some steps forward, so that we can aim at the higher positions in the ranking.”
