Go to the second Grand Prix on the Jerez circuit

Gran Premio Red Bull de Andalucìa 2020 – Preview

23 Luglio 2020Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto – Spain

A week after the restart of the Championship, the MotoGP is back on the Jerez track. In the previous Spanish Gran Prix the pilots representing the Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max Racing Team have reached respectively the thirteenth ( Romano ) and the fourteenth ( Alonso ) place.

Unfortunately throughout the race some issues with the setting emerged for Romano, that prevented him to perform at his best. Alonso did a good come back from the twenty-seventh place and without the fair imposed penalty, he could have climbed other positions in the ranking. It is good for our pilots to be back on the same track!

Indeed during the debriefing on Sunday, the Team has thought about some possible solutions, regarding the issues emerged throughout the race. These solutions could be tried out during the free practices, that will take place before the qualifying.

The following are the words of the protagonists.

Romano Fenati: “The second race here in Jerez, after a week from the first, is an excellent occasion to improve the setting of the bike. We will try for sure to do our best. Last Sunday the level was rather high and certainly in this race the competitiveness will be even greater. It will be interesting to understand how we can optimize the performance. I do not have precise expectations. I really want to perform well during the weekend and of course in the race.”

Alonso Lopez: “I am very excited for the race that will take place this weekend. My goal is to start the weekend, as I fished the race last Sunday. Last race i had a lot of confidence, so my objective is to have the same confidence every time I will step on the track. This will be very important for the race, but also for the qualifying, which is the part that we have to improve the most.”

Max BiaggiTeam Owner: “It is an opportunity to ride on the same track after one week. On one side indeed there is the desire to improve the previous performance, on the other side there is the advantage to already start from a good basis, thanks to which we have the chance to improve. For the pilots it will be very helpful to ride again on the same track. I hope that both Romano and Alonso would go beyond their difficulties, so that they would improve their results. I am confident and I expect a great improvement.”
