The two session of free practice held on Friday have unfortunately been influenced by physical issues for both of our pilots.
Alonso ended the free practice 1 but he did not feel good so he preferred to go to the hospital for a check-up. For this reason he did not take part in the FP2. Romano during a training session got a little foot injury, that has prevented him to perform at his best.
In the free practice 1 Alonso reached the twenty-fifth place while Romano the thirty-first place.

The temperatures rather high are characterizing also this weekend of race on the Jerez track. Indeed in the free practice 2 the temperatures rose to 32° in the air and 52° on the ground.

Thank to this time, in the combined free practice ranking he resulted to be twenty-eight place with a gap of 1.620 s from the leader F. Fernandez. He did 11 laps in the morning and thirteen in the afternoon.

Alonso in the only one session done, the free practice 1, did thirteen laps and he sealed his best time in the twelfth lap, with the time 1’47.489. In the combined ranking he resulted to be in twenty-seventh place, with a gap of 1.593 s from the leader.

Here are the words of the protagonists.

Romano Fenati: “In this second session i am happy of how we have been able to improve the bike. Unfortunately the foot injury does not allow me to drive at 100% of my potentials. In the FP2, compared to the setting utilized in the race, we have optimized a little the braking phase. I feel confident to improve even more tomorrow, in order to directly enter in the Q2. We need to continue to improve but we are on the right path.”

Max BiaggiTeam Owner: “Today was not a profitable day as we have hoped it was going to be. For Romano the biggest issue is the phase of deceleration entering the corner and due this problem he accumulates the time gap. We tried to help him we some modification, but at the moment we have not received positive results. This morning unfortunately Alonso did not feel good, so we made him do a check-up at the mobile clinic. We thought it would have been better to take him to the hospital, for further exams. I hope he will feel better soon. We will wait for him on the track.”
