24 October 2021 – Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli – Italy
The weekend on the Misano World Circuit ended with both our pilots hitting the points. An excellent result for the team, especially considering the amazing come back of Romano who, started from the nineteenth position, managed to gain twelve positions.
Our team leader, after some laps in which he was quite cautious due to the conditions of the track, that had some dangerous spots of damp close to the curbs, improved progressively his rhythm. Romano did a lot of overtakes and managed to reach the leading group, doing a series of fast laps. In the last laps, due to the natural decline of the tires, his performances flattered, but this did not prevent to end in seventh position, very important for the World Championship. Romano is in fifth position with 147 points.
Also for Adrian the race of today has been excellent. Our rookie, after showing off for the whole weekend a huge speed in wet conditions, today he managed to be fast also on dry conditions. Adrian maintained a constant rhythm and without making any mistake reached the points, for the fourth time in 2021. He ended the race in thirteenth position, sealing his fast lap at the penultimate lap, with the time of 1’43.071.
To follow the statements of our two pilots and of Max Biaggi, our Team Owner.
Romano Fenati: “I am not that satisfied with the position reached at the end of the race, but for sure it was better than yesterday. I had many difficulties caused by the rain. Now I have to focus on the next race in Portimao.”
Adriàn Fernàndez: “I am very satisfied with the result reached, since I gained very important points. In this second race in Misano I had a good feeling, after started from P11. The next race will be in Portimao, which is a very good circuit for me. I would like to thank the team, for the impressive work done this weekend.”
Max Biaggi – Team Owner: “The race was not what we expected, mostly after the one of Misano held in September, where Romano did an excellent race, even if he crashed. I expected to see him in a shape similar. At the end it was a good race, since he started from the nineteenth position and finished in seventh. We missed a little bit of speed and we need to understand the reason. For the next races in Portimao and Valencia we will have the chance to reach once again on the podium and I really hope we can do it . Adrian has been able to reach the points and it is really good for him and also for the team. I hope that in Portimao, which is one of his preferred track, he could do even a better race.”
