23 October 2021 – Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli – Italy
Also today the weather was the protagonist, making very uncertain the development of the sessions. Throughout the free practice 3 it rained, but all the pilots managed to considerably improve their times.
Adrian completed one run, managing to do 21 laps. The better confidence earned by our rookie, with the ground in very unreliable conditions, allowed him to obtain the seventh position in the combined ranking and to gain direct access to the qualifying 2. Instead Romano, even if he managed to improve his time, did not manage to do the necessary step to access directly to the Q2.
The qualifying 1 took place with a mix condition, since the rain stopped and in some spots of the track started to dry off. Romano managed to improve a lot his performance, obtaining as best lap 1’50.522, but unfortunately for only 19 thousands he did not gain access to the Q2 and tomorrow he will start from the nineteenth position. Adrian did an excellent qualifying, without making any mistake and hitting the eleventh position, on a track that changed very fast its conditions. Our pilot completed 8 laps, obtaining as best lap the time of 1’50.609.
To follow the comments of Adrian, Romano, and our Team Owner Max Biaggi.
Adriàn Fernàndez: “I am satisfied with the performance achieved today, since with the time that I obtained in the FP3 I managed to earn direct access to the Q2. The eleventh position is really good. I had a good feeling with my bike on the wet track. In the Q2 I had some difficulties with the tire, but the overall feeling with the bike is good.”
Romano Fenati: “I hope that tomorrow will not rain! I will start from the nineteenth position, therefore it will be difficult, but I am sure that I can do a good race.”
Max Biaggi – Team Owner: “I expected more from these qualifying, but unfortunately our performance with Romano during the FP3 was not good. This has limited the developing of the qualifying. I am satisfied with the performance of Adrian, who with a track in very difficult conditions managed to not make mistakes, hitting a good position on the grid.”
