The MWC hosts the Motorcycle World Championship for the second time

Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell'Emilia-Romagna 2021 – Preview

21 October 2021Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli – Italy

The third last round of the 2021 Championship has almost arrived and for the occasion, after five weekends, we are back on the Misano World Circuit.

The last race on this circuit brought us a lot of emotions but also a lot of disappointment. Indeed Romano starting from the pole dominated the race. He realized the new Best Race Lap of the MWC and after more than half of the race he collected a gap from the chasers of almost 3 seconds. Unfortunately at the thirteenth lap our team leader lost the control of his Husqvarna in corner fifteen and was useless the attempt to save the situation. It was a huge disappointment, since we were foretasting the victory, but also there was the awareness that he was been the fastest until that moment. Now we will start again from that certainty, since on this track Romano last year brought the Husqvarna on the highest spot on the podium for the first time after its come back in the Moto3. We remind that Romano is currently fighting for the fourth position in the championship, after he gained 138 points.

For what concerns Adrian, we have to highlight some difficulties in the last races. To compete again here will allow him for sure to use the work done previously and to limit the gap due to the novelty of the track. The goal for our rookie is to reach the points, that this year his he reached three times, obtaining as best result a sixth position on the Le Mans Circuit.

To follow the statements of the protagonists of this weekend.

Romano Fenati: “I am happy to come back in Misano for the second time in this Championship. For sure the end of the first race was not as we expected. The rhythm was really good and also the bike. This weekend we will do our best to repeat race 1, but hopefully with another ending.”

Adriàn Fernàndez: “I am happy to be back in Misano. Last race I obtained good performances. I have a good feeling with my Husqvarna and I think that would be possible to do a good race.”

Max BiaggiTeam Owner: “We are back in Misano after the race of last September, race that left us disappointed! We were foretasting the victory, but unfortunately the end of the race was not as we expected. Now it is necessary to restart from the excellent results of that weekend to obtain a good result.”
