Very low temperatures. Few pilots improve. Romano and Alonso in Q2

The free practice 3 had been delayed by one hour, hoping that the temperatures would have raised. In reality, the temperature on the track increased by only few degrees compared to the ones registered throughout the yesterday’s morning session. All this only allowed only to 7 of the 30 pilots to improve. Thanks to the excellent times sealed in the FP2, both Romano and Alonso will have direct access to the Q2.

Alonso at the end of the forty minutes of free practice resulted to be in fifth position, with the time of 1’59.147 and a gap from the leader of the free practice 3 A. Migno of 0.267 s. 15 are the laps done by our pilot in 3 runs, with the best time obtained at the twelfth lap. In the combined ranking of the three rounds of free practice, Alonso results to be in thirteenth position, with the time of 1’59.118 and a gap from the leader of the combined ranking R. Fernandez of 0.974 s.

Romano in the free practice 3 sealed the time of 1’59.711, with a gap of 0.831 s. In the morning round he resulted to be in twelfth position and he managed to obtain his best time at the ninth of the eleven laps done in 3 runs. Romano, thanks to the excellent 1’58.582 sealed in the FP2, results to be in second position in the combined ranking concerning the three rounds of free practice, with a gap from the leader of the ranking of 0.438 s.

The appointment is at 1.40 pm (GMT+2) for the qualifying 2.
