Rather harsh temperatures on the MotorLand of Aragon. Alonso is sixth and Romano is ninth

Gran Premio Michelin® de Aragón 2020 – FP1

16 October 2020MotorLand Aragón – Spain

The free practice 1 took place with very harsh temperatures, indeed in some spots of the track the temperature reached 6° C. If we take as reference the free practice 1 of the last championship held on the MotorLand, we register a gap of around 1 second. This is mainly due to the difference of temperature compared to last year, indeed in 2019 the leg held in Aragon took place in the middle of September, when the temperatures are decisively higher than the one registered today.

Alonso and Romano have done a decisively consistent round, indeed at few laps from the end they occupied the second and first positions.
Alonso did 16 laps, reaching his best time at the last lap. With the time of 2’00.571 he has a gap from the leader of the session D. Binder of 0.758 s.
For what concerns Romano his best lap is equal to 2’00.656, sealed at the eleventh of the thirteen laps done, with a gap of 0.843 s.

The appointment is at 1.15 pm (GMT+2) when the free practice 2 will take place.
