Gran Premio Lenovo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini 2020 - Preview

10 September 2020Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli – Misano Adriatico – Italy

The MotoGP will be back in Italy for the first time in 2020 with the Gran Premio Lenovo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, that will take place this weekend on the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

We now have three intense months in which we will have nine races! Unfortunately the performances highlighted throughout the firsts six races, due to several reasons did not reflect what is the real value of our pilots and of our Team. The whole Team is working hard in order to improve the performances and to have the possibility to compete again for the leading positions.

For what concerns the results obtained by our two pilots in the last race, that took place on the Red Bull Ring in Austria, Romano almost reached the point zone, while Alonso, due to the passing the limits of the track, had to serve a Long Lap Penalty that relegated him in twenty-first place.

There is the need to remind that throughout this weekend and the next one 10000 people everyday will be able to enter the circuit. They will be well organized on the capacious stands of the Misano World Circuit. In this moment of difficulties due to the Coronavirus emergency, all of this will represent a important change and a wishes to be able to be back shortly at the normal status.

Here are the words of our pilots and of our Team Owner Max Biaggi.

Romano Fenati: “For the Misano Grand Prix we need to improve the results obtained in the last AustriaGP. We have to learn from what we have mistaken in order to improve. I think that Misano track is really beautiful and moreover it is the only track on which we will race in Italy this year, thus we need to do a good race for us and for the championship. We can always be in the top ten.”

Alonso Lopez: “For this race I am readier than for the previous ones, because I have started to understand the bike. I think that we are doing steps forward, to be closer to the fastest riders and this is really important. I believe that we are working in the right direction. For what concerns Misano I want to improve my results and make another step forward.”

Max BiaggiTeam Owner: “Since the Grand Prix on the Mugello track did not take place, the race that will take place in Misano will be the first race in 2020 that will be held in Italy and it is really wonderful for us to be at home. I believe that thank to its particular configuration, on the Misano circuit our pilots will be able to show off some good performances. I hope that Romano will find that hint of determination that is missing, in order to be in the leading positions in front of his crowd. The whole Team in looking forward to this double race on the Misano circuit and it is working hard as always.”
