05 November 2020 – Circuit Ricardo Tormo – Spain
The MotoGP this weekend is going to face the third to last race of this 2020 championship. Since several years this leg ends the Championship, but this year due to the Covid-19 emergency, on the track of Cheste two races will be held at one week one from the other. Instead the ending race of the championship will be on the circuit of Portimao.
In the previous Grand Prix of Teruel, Alonso thanks to a consistent come back managed to reach the eleventh position, starting from the twenty-first position on the grid and after he served the long lap penalty. In the last races Alonso has always showed consistent performances throughout the race and without receiving any penalty he would have collect many more points in the championship. Besides that, analyzing the fastest race laps our pilot is often among the fastest pilots and this comes from a process of adjustment to his FR 250GP, that at this point we can say it is really advanced.
For what concerns Romano, the preceding GP was not so lucky for him. Throughout the race he had some issues with the front and this prevented to perform at his best, indeed he ended the race in nineteenth position. Romano in these last races managed to find a really good feeling with his Husqvarna, thanks to it he came back to express himself at the high levels that reflect his talent.
For what concerns the Ricardo Tormo circuit, it is 4005 m long, has 9 left corners, 5 right corners and a longest straight of 876 m. It has been hosting the MotoGP since 1999.
Here are the words of the protagonists of this weekend.
Romano Fenati: “For the double race in Valencia I feel strong it so I really want to do two good races before the last one in Portimao. It is really important for us to be competitive in these two rounds, in order to end well the season. I will do my best for sure.”
Alonso Lopez: “I feel really confident to race in Valencia, because I did a very good weekend on the MotorLand track. I think that I know what I have to improve and this is a crucial thing.”
Max Biaggi – Team Owner: “The next Grand Prix which will be held on the Ricardo Tormo will draw us near to the end of this championship. We have still three races to do and I hope that we can collect good results. Both Romano and Alonso will have to actualize the good work done by all of us this year.”
The Moto3 race of last year ridden on the Ricardo Tormo was won by S.Garcia, who preceded A.Migno and X.Artigas. T.Suzuki obtained the fastest race lap, with the time of 1’39.948 and an average speed of 144.2 km/h.
