Here are the impressions of our pilots and our Team Owner Max Biaggi concerning this first day of free practice.
Romano Fenati: “The conditions of this two sessions of free practice have been quite challenging. This morning there was a lot of water on the track and the feeling was not good. This afternoon with less water was as complicated as this morning. Indeed in this conditions is even more difficult to manage the wet tires. Thanks to the improved conditions of the track, we used in the last minutes the slick tires and this has allowed us to improve our time. We hope that tomorrow will be dry so that we can do a good qualifying.”
Alonso Lopez: “I am very satisfied with the result obtained today, because I think we have worked very well. Rain is forecast for tomorrow and I feel pretty good in these conditions. Both tomorrow and Sunday I hope to express myself at the same level reached today. I am working to access Q2 directly.”
Max Biaggi – Team Owner: “It has been a quite difficult day here in Cheste. Indeed, in the morning the rain has make the track very slippery and there have been a lot of falls. In the afternoon the conditions of the track have changed again and this has changed the game. I am satisfied with the outcome of this first day of free practice, because both Romano and Alonso have been always rather fast. Tomorrow we will have to reconfirm this level also in the qualifying, in order to try to start as ahead as possible.”
