26 September 2020 – Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya – Spain.
Rather low temperature, especially in the morning, are continuing to characterize this weekend of the Grand Prix of Catalunya.
Both the temperatures of the air and of the ground throughout the FP3 did not reach the 13° C.
Unfortunately due to these weather conditions several falls have been registered among them there is the one of Alonso.
Romano instead has confirmed the good feeling reached and indeed he sealed the time of 1’48.778, that is faster than the his previous best lap by 0.465 s. Thanks to this amazing performance, Romano is in second position in the combined ranking of the three rounds of free practice, with a gap from the leader T. Arbolino of 0.143 s. Our pilot in this session did thirteen laps, sealing his best time at the twelfth lap.
For what concerns Alonso, as we were saying he slipped after few minutes from the start of the session in corner 2 and he did not have any consequence. Unfortunately his FR 250GP has suffered rather evident damages. His Team leaded by Maurizio Camabarau has done an excellent job, bring back Alonso on track before the end of the round. He did other three laps, sealing the time of 1’49.795, that represents his best lap in the combined ranking of the three rounds of free practice. Our pilot in the free practice combined ranking results to be in twenty-third place, with a gap of 1.160 s.
Alonso will have to do the Q1 that will start at 12.35 pm, while the appointment with Romano who is already qualified for the Q2 will be at 1.00 pm.
