Second race on the Red Bull Ring

BMW M Grand Prix of Styria 2020 – Preview

20 August 2020Red Bull Ring – Spielberg – Austria.

We are going to tackle the second double race on the same circuit planned for this Championship, indeed, the Red Bull Ring will host the BMW M Grand Prix of Styria. The results collected by our two pilots last Sunday, have not been so positive for what concerns the numbers. As a matter of fact Romano ended the race in seventeenth position and Alonso in twenty-third position. It needs to be pointed out that Romano during the race was able to recover thirteen positions and he showed an evident improvement from the Saturday, for what concerns the setup of his FR 250GP.

The major issue for our two pilots. has been to take off from very far positions on the starting grid. Indeed Romano was in thirtieth place and Alonso in thirty-first place. Moreover the very variable weather conditions had seriously complicate the work of all the Teams, throughout the free practice sessions. Alonso also has shown an improvement for what concerns the feeling with his bike, even if he did not actualize it, because he received a lot of penalties, as it happened to a lot of pilots during the weekend, due to the passing of the limits of the track.

Here are the words of the protagonists of this weekend.

Romano Fenati: “For this weekend we have to improve the comprehensive results obtain in the race. We need to improve a lot the braking phase, but I also need to enhance my driving style. I hope to do a very good weekend, in order to forget the last race.”

Alonso Lopez: “I am very excited for this race, because we have found a way to improve a lot and I think that there is room to improve even more. This is crucial in order to be even faster. I am really confident and I am looking forward to being on the bike.”

Max BiaggiTeam Owner: “This is the second race that we will do in Austria. It is absolutely necessary to do a meaningful step forward. As a matter of fact, it has arrived the time, both for Romano and Alonso, to change the gear and to take the right path. I am completely confidence in both of them but now it is crucial that this confidence will be rewarded.”
