The first day of free practice ended, with the seventeenth position in the combined ranking of Romano and the twenty-second position of Adriàn. The free practice 1 due to the conditions of the track has not been really indicative, indeed the times have been rather high.
Due to this, Romano in the first session preferred to take the track late and thus he did only six laps. He obtained as best lap the time of 2’07.591. In the second session the conditions of track allowed all the pilots to improve their times. Romano succeeded to decrease his time by 2.103 s, having a gap from the leader of 0.649 s. At the eleventh of the thirteen laps, Romano obtained the time of 2’05.488.
Adriàn in the first round did twelve laps, sealing the time of 2’07.566. Also for him there has been an excellent improvement in the free practice 2, when he obtained his best lap in 2’05.807. Fourteen are the laps done by Adriàn in FP2, with a gap from the leader of the combined ranking K. Toba of 0.968 s.
It needs to be highlighted that, thanks to the three days of test done last weekend, the gaps are rather contained. Indeed in less than one second we have twenty-three pilots!

Romano Fenati: “Today we were fast, but not fast enough, in fact we are not in the top 14, so now we will have to compete in qualifying 1. There is still tomorrow morning and we will try to improve the best lap. I have a good feeling with the bike and I’m ready for tomorrow.”
Adriàn Fernàndez: “The first day of free practice was very positive. We are working in the right direction and we succeeded to contain the gap from the leader of the combined ranking to 0.968 s. Tomorrow we will work to improve even more.”
Max Biaggi – Team Owner: “The gaps have been contained today, also due to the test held here in Losail. Romano is rather behind; thus, tomorrow we will need to work a lot to try to hit the Q2. Adriàn did a huge step forward and step by step he is getting closer to the valued positions. We are focused to do better tomorrow.”
